Cirrus Magnetic float level sensor is one of the versatile & efficient means of liquid level sensing & controlling. It combines reliable design with wide range of material of construction to make it suitablefor level sensing of various liquid in tanks & open pits. Its unique features like easy installation, fail safe rugged operation and low cost, makes it most versatile.
Hermitically sealed reed switches are enclosed inside the sensor stem at each prefixed level set points, which are actuated by their respective magnetic floats. Magnetic Floats are specially designed units, in various material and suitable for various liquid applications. These floats traverse up & down on a fixed distance between their stoppers outside the sensor stem & are such designed to make them float on the liquid surface. Separate floats are provided for each level set point. Contact of in-housed switches changes with up/down movement of floats in correspond to rising/falling of liquid level inside tank, thus giving potential free contact outputs. Level sensor has magnetically operated potential free contact switch output at each level set points. Level set points are factory assembled fixed type. Sensor is suitable for 12/24 V DC operation. Its contact outputs can be used, to further operate relay logic system for controlling pump, alarm, valves etc. Sensor can also be used for PLC operation.
The sensors are available in SS / PP construction & are made in different lengths for single or multi level sensing of liquids.SS floats are used for high temperature and food grade applications.
These level sensors can also be connected with separate available optional Cirrus “Controllers”, which incorporates level hold on circuitry & potential free contact relay output of 5 Amp., for controlling Pump/motor or valve. “Level sensor” together with “controller unit” work as level controller for various liquids & tank sizes.
